Austria Dominates List Of Best Après-ski Resorts In Europe - Yahoo News











Known unofficially as the party capital of the Alps, the Tyrol resort also nabbed the most votes from among 4,600 winter sports practitioners polled in a SnowTrex survey that aimed to chart the best apres-ski spots across Europe. Participants could choose between 15 party resorts in the Alps. Rounding out the top five spots were Livigno, Italy and Val Thorens, France. To kick off, close out, and generally cement the resorts reputation as a party environment for the young and boisterous, Ischgl enlists a roster of A-list stars to perform at the most highly anticipated events of the Tyrolean Alps: Top of the Mountain opening, Easter and closing concerts. Headliners have included everyone from Elton John, Robbie Williams, Alicia Keys and Katy Perry, performers who have drawn tens of thousands of fans to their slopes. "The integration of the Charles de Gaulle in the operation... (in Iraq) begins this morning," a member of Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian's staff told AFP as his entourage made its way to the carrier. The first Rafale fighter jet took off in the morning from the Charles de Gaulle as it sailed about 200 kilometres (120 miles) off the coast north of Bahrain in the direction of Iraq. The warship's deployment will cut in half the time it takes for the planes to reach Iraq for strikes against IS from their base in the United Arab Emirates. France launched Operation Chammal in support of the US-led coalition against IS in September. Australia's Rba Considered Delaying Rate Cut - Nasdaq.com











Many in the financial markets were not expecting the cut in as RBA Governor Glenn Stevens had indicated as recently as December that interest rates stability remained an attractive option. Financial markets are now betting the RBA will cut interest rates at least one more fitness time by mid-2015, with some market participants expecting it will continue cutting in the second half united states of the year. Still, there was little guidance in the minutes on how the RBA might proceed. To be sure, the RBA indicated it might move cautiously in cutting interest rates further saying it will other need to keep a close watch on house price growth. "Given the large increases in housing prices in some cities and ongoing strength in lending to investors in housing assets, members also agreed that developments in the housing market would bear careful monitoring," it said. The RBA and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority have warned about risks associated with strong house price gains.
